Unique Picture Frames

From larger pieces of nice hardwood, I make picture frames in an unusual way.  I rout out the opening (usually for a  5" X 7" photograph ).
For the "glass", I use clear acrylic which will not break.  The backing and hanging set-up is far better than store-bought frames.  Many disapprove of frames like these because the wood frame is much larger than the picture being framed.  But, some find this fashionable and a way to show how much a particular photograph means to them.

The three below are samples.  Due to their popularity, I continue to make these between larger projects.  I have settled on the 5" X 7" opening size when making them for subsequent sale.  But, I welcome making custom sizes for your particular need.  For this size, I have found $60 to be a price that keeps them moving fairly well.
